What is Paktly?

Paktly is a modern way to send favors. Instead of buying plastic cards at a store or simply relying on your memory, you can create beautiful, personalized digital favor cards and send them instantly.

Whether you want to celebrate a birthday, say thank you, or congratulate someone ::: Paktly makes it easy, fun, and personal.

I originally built Paktly as a small project between friends—a simple way for them to ask me for favors and repay me with a beer or something equally informal. Over time, the idea grew beyond that. It became about sharing and keeping track of favors, then evolved into something more meaningful: personalising acts of kindness, creating and gifting memorable moments, and preserving those moments so they can be remembered and appreciated long after they happen.

That shift fundamentally changed how I approached the project. Instead of focusing on transactions or obligations, I wanted to design something around generosity and human connection. A favour is often more than a task completed—it can represent support during a difficult time, a celebration, or simply a thoughtful gesture. By giving those moments a place to live, Paktly turns small acts of kindness into lasting memories rather than disposable exchanges.

From a technical perspective, the project also became an opportunity to explore how software can support emotional value without becoming intrusive. Because Paktly (unfortuently) IS a social media, I didn't want it to be "just" another social medium. Every design decision, from the interaction flow to the visual identity, aims to make creating and sharing a favour feel personal and intentional. Rather than optimising for engagement or productivity, the goal is to encourage meaningful interactions that people genuinely want to revisit years later.
